Selected Projects & Initiatives

2024–Ongoing
Established 8th Street Studios
Maha Nasra Eddé is the founder and director of 8th Street Studios, a creative hub in Dubai’s arts district. Originally functioning as her photography studio, Eddé transformed the space into a multi-artist workspace that invites collaboration and artistic exchange. Based in the space herself, she curates and leads an evolving programme of artist talks, open studios, institutional tours, workshops, and community-facing events.

2018
Curated 8SS, a regional group photography exhibition held in a converted warehouse in Al Quoz, Dubai.

Teaching and Professional Development

2024–2025
Participant in The Canopy Program (NYC Crit Club): A year-long mentor-based programme with visiting artists, critics, art historians, and intensive peer critiques culminating in a group presentation in New York, USA. 

2022–2023
Led photography workshops tailored to artists, focusing on lighting, composition, and conceptual development.

2020–2023
Engaged in the ongoing study of visual arts through programmes and mentorships with:

2002–2005
Independent Photography Training
Undertook a rigorous, self-directed education in photography, combining workshops in Dubai and across Europe with an internship at Shadow Studio. Focused training included lighting design, editorial photography, and studio-based practices.
